Hot Tuna Sandwich

When you find top qual­i­ty tuna such as Dela­maris Tuna Steak, you sim­ply must include it in your dish­es, where it becomes the absolute star. Accom­pa­nied with toma­to and pick­les, tuna feels as if it’s just been caught in its home bay. And when it’s packed into a crunchy baked sand­wich with lots of toma­to, pick­les and cheese,  your face will start to glow

Ingredients

Tuna filling

2 x 80 g

Delamaris Tuna Steak

small pickles

1

shallot

1

small tomato

2 Tbsp.

mayonnaise

2 Tbsp.

chopped parsley

70 g

grated mozzarella cheese

50 g

provolone cheese

salt, pepper

4 slices of

bread

1 knob of

butter

Instructions

Finely chop pickles, tomato and shallot, and combine them with mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese and chopped parsley, then add the star of sandwich, exquisite Delamaris Tuna Steak, and season with salt and pepper.

Heat oven to 200°C.

Spread butter on the slices of bread and put two on a baking tray buttered side down, then spread half of the filling on each slice of bread all the way to the edges, next cut the provolone cheese into thin slices and place on the filling, then place the remaining bread on top buttered side.

Place the baking tray at the centre of the oven and cook for 7-10 minutes. If you want extra crunchy sandwiches, turn on the grill function for the last two minutes.
