Ingredients
50 g
butter at room temperature
1 handful of
handful of mixed fresh herbs
1 x 95 g
Delamaris Tourist Pâté
270 g
pastry dough
1
whisked egg
2 Tbsp.
sesame seeds
Instructions
Place butter and chopped fresh herbs in a large bowl and combine using an electric mixer, then add Tourist Pâté and mix well.
Heat oven to 190°C.
Place the rolled pastry dough on a floured working surface and cut into dough circles of a size according to your preference, then coat half of them with whisked egg before placing an appropriate amount of the pâté, butter and herb mixture at their centre with a teaspoon, next cap them with the remaining dough circles and press edges together with a fork before coating them with whisked egg and sprinkles of sesame seed.
Place the mini pies on an oiled baking tray, then place this at the centre of the oven and cook for 10 minutes. Serve warm.
Tips: Instead of sesame seeds, you can always use black cumin seeds or rough sea salt. You can also use strudel dough. Mini pies are great for celebrations, picnics and snacks.
